On Sunday, my hostdad showed me their sailing boat (sailing season already ended, so it was outside of the water). We went to the harbour, and there we put some stuff in the car that shouldn't be on the boat during winter. My hostfamilies boat is called Lība, that's also my hostsister's second name. I know nothing about sailing and I've also never been on a sailing boat. So for me, seeing everything, and looking how the boat is looking on the inside (we were climbing on the boat with a ladder) was already very interesting. And then, a man whose boat is still in the water asked me, if we would like to do a little round with his boat. Of course, I said yes. He already removed the sails, so we were going only by engine, but it still was amazing. I've never been on the baltic sea by boat before, and even though we only did a short round out of the harbour, to the sea and back, I still was flashed. I love the sea a lot, and in the part of Germany where I live (in the south) I don't get to see it that often. So for me this was a very special day.
I'll add some photos which I took on the harbour. While being in the water with the boat I took no photos, I just forgot about it while enjoying the amazing view. But there will probably be another chance, and then I'll show you pictures of being on the sea, too.
