In Latvia you can't drink water from the sink, you have to cook it, and then it's drinkable.
So if I want to drink water here, I usually just put out of the water cooker, because if someone empties it, he cooks new water, so that there's always cooked water.
This morning, I wanted to drink some water, so I filled it in a glass, started to drink, and imediately stoped. First, because the water tasted strange, and second, because my hostsister screamed I should stop, and showed me in sign language to spit it in the sink. I did, and after that I washed my mouth for a few minutes, until the taste in my mouth was okay.
Finally, I found out that my hostmother put vinegar essence (not made for eating) in the water cooker, to clean it.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my fail of the day.
